To mark the Greek Presidency of the Council of the European Union, taking place from July to December 2027, Greek employees of the JRC are presenting a series of cultural initiatives aimed at promoting Greek culture in Italy.
The programme will explore different aspects of Greek heritage and contemporary life through events focusing on culture, gastronomy, travel, sports, science, and technology.
The events will be announced in the coming months. Stay tuned and join us in celebrating Greece’s contribution to European culture, innovation, and collaboration.
Opening Ceremony
The Hellenic Semester Opening Ceremony will take place on Thursday, 1st July at 12:00 at the main entrance of the JRC Ispra Site. The event will officially welcome the Greek Presidency of the Council of the European Union and mark the beginning of the Hellenic Semester at the JRC. The JRC Director-General will address the audience, alongside special guests who will be introduced during the ceremony. The programme of activities planned for the Hellenic Semester will also be presented to JRC colleagues, offering an overview of the cultural, scientific, and collaborative initiatives taking place throughout the Presidency period.
