Program

The Hellenic Semester 2027 is a cultural initiative dedicated to showcasing Greek culture, heritage, and creativity to the JRC community and the wider Italian public.

The events of the Hellenic Semester will be organized around five main categories:

• Cultura
• Gastronomia
• Science and Technology
• Sports
• Travel and Exploration

The Hellenic Semester will take place from 1 July 2027 to 31 December 2027, offering a diverse program of activities designed to highlight the richness and diversity of Greek traditions, achievements, and contemporary identity.

The initiative aims to introduce JRC employees and the wider Italian community to Greek culture through a series of events, experiences, and activities that celebrate Greece’s history, innovation, cuisine, arts, and lifestyle.

The official launch will take place with the Opening Ceremony on 1 July 2027 at the Main Entrance of the JRC. The celebrations will continue on 3 July 2027 with the Greek Party, which will be held at the lakeside location of Lake Maggiore in Ispra, offering participants an authentic Greek cultural experience in a unique setting.

The Hellenic Semester program is currently under development. The complete schedule of events and activities will be officially announced in mid-October 2026.
