4.5.14 - 2nd Cycling tour: Sesto Calende - Milano

Date: Sunday, 4th May 2014 Meeting: Angera Embarcadero at (8:00 for breakfast at Haiti Bar 50m from the Embarcadero), 8:30 departure from Angera, Sesto Calende at 9:00 am at the Train Station. Distance: 85 km (8km to arrive to Sesto Calende) Lunch: Along the way , at 13:00pm-14:00pm at Lido Margherita , near Galliate on River Ticino, best wild boar and meat dishes! Arrive: at Milano Porta Garibaldi, at 18:00 pm, return by train to Sesto Calende Difficulty: Impegnativo - Long (no beginners)- but the +ve note : it is flat if not slightly going down Points of Interest: The canals designed also by Da Vinci, the River Ticino, the whole way of high naturalist beauty. 80% bicycle path along the river and the canals What to bring - necessary: a bicycle in good working order, any type of bicycle , 2 tube changes that are fit for your wheels (size and valve to have been checked before), water flask, light cloths for rain Recommended: Bicycle helmet , light coloured or reflecting clothes Confirmation: to Vassilis.ZAFRAKOPOULOS@ec.europa.eu till 25.4.14 with your size for T-Shirt |
